I loved everything about the course. The staff were professional and courteous. Greens were in good shape. You DO have to make shots. I peaked around the dog legs and rode forward to look at a few blind landing zones. The course was challenging but fair. I recommend Buccaneer Golf Course. It’s a ball placement course not a power driving course. My wife plays in the 90s, she had plenty of room in the fairways and didn’t get frustrated by the length. Which obviously made my round more enjoyable.

Fun Golf course
Dec 2020

Challenging but very fair golf course. Really fun to play. Lots of elevated tee shots and greens. Couple of tips, make sure you have a range finder, you will need it. Cart path only, so you will get plenty of steps. Kenny who is the pro and manages the shop is a great guy and will see to all your needs. Very scenic course.

Wonderful course, horrible golf pro
Jan 2020

We had a wonderful time playing at the Buccaneer golf course this past week. Well maintained course, amazing views and we were supplied with some nice rentals as well. All the guests were courteous and we truly enjoyed our experience out on the course, except for one thing….Bob. Bob was an older gentleman who I guess would be titled as the “golf pro”. No hello, no smile, no greeting to start. We had a couple of simple questions requiring if there was a warm up driving range, where the first hole was etc. Seemed like we were annoying him rather then him welcoming us and trying to give us just the minimal instructions as we were clearly new the course. I can only assume he didn’t care for the fact that we were younger (in our 30s) and was not in the mood to have us get excited for the game of golf. This type of attitude is what will kill the game if younger players are snubbed in this manner. Hopefully others don’t have the same experience but it really was the only downfall of the course.

Breathtaking
Jul 2019 • Family

This golf course is by far one of my favorite I’ve every played on. All tough we came in the summer so the grass was a little brown. The greens were well taken care of. The course was challenging and breathtaking making it all a little better when you loose a ball. The staff was excellent and the golf pro was extremely nice and took care of us every time we arrived to the course.

We had a great time
Jun 2017 • Couples

I rarely play with my wife. She enjoyed it and found it quite challenging. Not easy to to find a good course in the Caribbean, although they are out there. Very spoiled by the mainland courses, This is one of the better courses I have found in my extended travels.
The heat did hit the Mrs., but the gentle breeze helped and she loved the views.
BTW, she lost and had to buy me a drink

Caribbean Vacation

The Buccaneer is a beautiful resort. While I was in Christiansted I went to their spa, it was an awesome experience, very good facial it was. I would go again.
the beach is family friendly and one can just go to the beach with no charge.
the beach bar is nice. Most of all the golf course is beautiful, including a driving range.
be careful of the iguana’s that lay so still on the ground blending with the colours.

An OK Golf Course
May 2017 • Couples

Was in the best shape of the three on the island. We played all 3 courses on the island, but the Buccaneer was the best, even though it was carts on a path only, so you do a lot of walking. Number 3 sits out over the ocean and is very scenic.

Fun round

First time playing here. Very scenic! Some holes were challenging for me. It was a little dry but that is to be expected there. Very enjoyable experience.

Short Dry Course with Awesome Views
Jan 2017 • Couples

Played 2 rounds last week while staying at the Buccaneer. You can’t beat the views. They are amazing. You’ll see iguanas and the occasional frog and plenty of birds. The course is hilly and the fairways and greens are hard and dry. No surprise as it doesn’t really rain very much.

It’s a pretty easy going atmosphere. No tee times. No one forces you to join another couple to take a foursome. But cart path only unless you have some sort of disability. You also can’t rent a pull/push cart.

There is a simulator if you want to get some practice in. Ask about the “driving range.” We were told there was no driving range and then someone told us the 17th fairway becomes the driving range at 3 pm. Wait what? No idea what to think about that.

9 on a beautiful end of Feb afternoon. Everyone was pleasant. After 2 days of good rain, I found the course very playable. It drains quickly (or the ground was very thirsty), some breath taking views, nicely designed imo… I’m a casual (for fun) golfer so I don’t have the desires or needs of those who are serious. Yes, some of the sand traps are now grassy & I’ve seen nicer fairways/greens. But I don’t know what = normal in the Caribbean. And I’ve been on very similar feeling courses in Florida. A great time was had. $147/ 1/2 round + clubs/cart/9 used balls/ 5 plastic tees. Oh! I Parred #5. 😎

Very nice course with UH-Mazing views! I’m sure it’s hard to keep the fairways green. They were pretty dead/dry. Clubhouse staff was great! 18 holes, 2 sets of clubs & a cart was $210.
Not terrible 🙂
Always perfect weather to play.

Considering lack of convenient golf on the island its a good option if you are staying near Christianstead. Lack of irrigation means that conditions can vary immensely. Concluded early on that we needed to play the ball up to have an enjoyable time. Has about 5 holes that are unique and even great. #3 is very much like 7 at Pebble. I am giving it 5 stars because it deserves a higher margin above the Reef. But if stateside it would be 3.5 stars.

It was very nice experience, as they hosted me to play in a very nice conditions. Golf course is not so difficult, but it has a few challenging. They rent Taylor Made Stealth irons and woods, I was really impressed. The price was fair…
